Vocal Music at National City Christian Church
Since the church’s founding in 1930, National City Christian Church choirs have sung for presidents and numerous world dignitaries, collaborated with such musical luminaries as opera greats Leontyne Price and Denyce Graves, and sung for numerous special events for its national Disciples of Christ membership.
Accompanied by the majestic, 7,500 pipe Möller pipe organ and Steinway Grand Piano, the choirs of National City Christian Church offer the gift of the finest music to God, the church and the community.
The National City Chancel Choir
The National City Chancel Choir is comprised of adults age 18 and above, and serves as the principal musical leadership for our Sunday Morning 11 AM worship. This chorus concentrates on the music from all periods of musical compositions suitable for small chamber vocal ensembles. The chorus also presents concerts each season for members of the National City community and the metropolitan District of Columbia.
