HOLY WEEK @ NATIONAL CITY
Please plan to join your family of faith during one of our many services during Holy Week of 2023 from April 2 – 9. There is a worship experience being planned for everyone with flexibility and diversity in mind. We will also be live streaming and recording all of the services during that week. A complete schedule is below:
Palm Sunday: April 2 – Join us at 10 a.m. for the Processional of the Palms and ride with Jesus into our Sanctuary on 5 Thomas Circle.
Maundy Thurday: April 6 – This evening begins at 7 p.m. with a dramatic enactment of the last supper with special music in an intimate setting.
Good Friday: April 7 – At 12:15 p.m., we will gather to remember the death of our savior, Jesus the Christ, with Scripture readings, prayers, reflection on this solemn remembrance by Rev. Steven Baines, and communion.
Easter Sunday: April 9 – Alleluias will resound throughout our majestic Sanctuary starting at 10 a.m. Brass and timpani will accompany our Chancel Choir with soloists and a dynamic message for today by Senior Pastor, Rev. Stephanie Kendell. Be a part of the resurrection experience with YOUR church at National City!
JOIN ONE OF OUR FOUR LENTEN STUDY GROUPS!
Often our faith calls us into a vision of what it means to be settled in our faith, our lives, and our communities. This year we hope to encounter Jesus in new ways through the act of becoming UNSETTLED. Join us this Lenten season as we journey the life and witness of Jesus and the disciples through a communal devotion and become faithfully unsettled. For more information on dates, times, and locations, please email Rev. Steven Baines at Sbaines@nationalcitycc.org.
