Music at Midday is proud to be presenting twice-weekly virtual concerts, today featuring Austrian organist Stefan Donner. We are deeply grateful to the wonderful musicians who have contributed recordings of their performances to make possible these virtual concerts.

Sonata No. 18 in A Major, Op. 188: I. Phantasie – Josef Rheinberger (1839-1901)
Fugue in B minor, BWV 579 – Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)
Toccata and Fugue in A minor, Op. 80 – Max Reger (1873-1916)

 

Stefan Donner earned degrees from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (highest honors) where he studied organ and piano. He also received a Master’s degree in organ performance from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Stefan is the recipient of various awards and received a 2014-15 Fulbright grant to study organ and harpsichord at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, with Edoardo Bellotti. As a concert organist, Stefan has performed all over Europe and in the United States. Beside his busy concert schedule Stefan is working as an organist at St. Peter’s Church in Vienna, Austria.
