The Meeting House

The Meeting House

The Meeting House, named after the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) founder’s call in 1851 to, “have the largest meeting house in Washington,” is a once a month newsletter to connect our Foundation’s work to the wider church. National City, the national foundation and congregation, is a collaborative effort to make sure there is a strong Gospel presence of God’s truth, justice, and love through the witness and prophetic actions of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in our nation’s capital. Our nearing century old building was intentionally placed for us to do the work that our God and our scriptures call us to do and the Foundation was established to make sure we would have a place to do just that. While we are not the largest building in the district (thanks be to God!), what we are building together in Washington and across the life of the church is bigger than anything our denominational founders could have ever dreamed. A Foundation that sustains, a faith that grows.
