Please join us at National City Christian Church this Friday, October 27, at 12:15 p.m., for our weekly Music at Midday recital. We are delighted to be welcoming our good friend, organist David K. Houston, to perform an intriguing program that he has entitled “b & g in a minor key”:
- Fantasie in g, BWV 542 – Johann Sebastian Bach
- Prélude, Fugue, Variation, Op. 18 – César Franck
- Chorale no. 2 in b minor – César Franck
David K. Houston is Organist and Choirmaster at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in College Park, Maryland. During the summer of 2023, the 31-voice Parish Choir spent a week in Salisbury, England, where they sang in residence at the cathedral, singing Evensong each evening and Sunday morning Mass. David holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Mount Vernon Nazarene College and a master’s degree in organ performance from the Haute Ecole de Musique and Conservatory of Lausanne, Switzerland.
If you are unable to join us in person, you may view a livestream on our YouTube channel (Friends of National City Christian Church) or on our Facebook page (National City Christian Church). You may also view a recording afterwards at those same sites.
