Please join us this Friday, November 12, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday concert. We are delighted to be welcoming back David Houston, who is Director of Music and Organist at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in College Park, Maryland, and currently serves as Dean of the District of Columbia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
David will be performing a program which is intriguingly entitled, “Fantastical Beast”:
- Fantasie und Fuge in g minor, BWV 542 – Johann Sebastian Bach
- Apparition de l’église éternelle, 1932 – Olivier Messiaen
- Fantasy on “Walk Together, Children,” 2017 – André J. Thomas
- Jubilate – Fela Sowande
- Everyone Dance from Five Dances – Calvin Hampton
Currently the District of Columbia is requiring all persons, whether vaccinated or not, to wear masks at public indoor spaces. We will follow this and any other requirement put in place to protect the public health.
For those who are still not able to join us in person, we will be recording the concert and will post it later in the day on the church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
