National City Christian Church Foundation exists to ensure a “foundation that sustains, and a faith that grows.” As a working board, our 2025 Board of Trustees is made up of 26 members who contribute in significant ways to guide the organization by offering their time and expertise from a variety of different backgrounds. Our Board includes 13 current or associate members of National City Christian Church, and 13 other Disciples from across the country who connect with National City’s history and purpose. It’s a testament to each person’s commitment to National City’s mission that our Board also represents a significant portion of our donors.
At the annual Foundation Weekend Board meeting on November 15, Sue Morris, Chair of the Development Committee, gave a matching gift of $2,500, and she and Foundation President, Rev. Stephanie Kendell, challenged the rest of the Trustees to work together to match her gift by the end of the year. Together the Board more than tripled their goal. This is what we mean, when we say, “We Need Each Other.” The numbers are in, and together the Board raised an incredible $10,050 to the work of the Foundation at our fall meeting!
