Join us on Wednesday, January 10, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., at National City Christian Church for an interfaith dialogue sponsored by the Rumi Forum. A panel of three religious leaders will explore solutions derived from Abrahamic faith traditions in order to respond to hatred and extremism. Panelists include Rabbi M. Bruce Lustig, Senior Rabbi at Washington Hebrew Congregation; Rev. Dr. Beverly Goines, Assistant Pastor at National City Christian Church; and Mr. Emre Celik, President of the Rumi Forum. There will be a reception at 6:30 p.m. prior to the main event that begins at 7:00 p.m.
Through this panel, we aim to respond to hatred and extremism by examining solutions used through the different faith traditions. We hope to provide education to those who may be unfamiliar with these faiths and set an example of coexistence. Through this, we can break down the barriers that exist between us and build a better, more harmonious community together.
