Please join us at National City Christian Church this Friday, October 14, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday recital. This week we are welcoming organist Joby Bell, who will perform a program that is sure to delight:
- Carillon-Sortie – Henri Mulet
- Concerto in G – Johann Sebastian Bach, after Johann Ernst
- March of the night watchman after J. S. Bach – Charles-Marie Widor
- Scherzo – Eugène Gigout
- Toccata – John Weaver
Joby Bell is known for “the breadth of his repertoire, technical virtuosity, and for the personal warmth which shines through in his performances.” He has earned a reputation as one of the finest and approachable performers, teachers, and service players of his generation. Since 2004, he has served on the faculty of the Hayes School of Music, Appalachian State University, where he teaches organ and church music studies.
Currently the wearing of masks is optional but highly recommended. For those who are not able to join us in person, we will be recording the concert and will post it on the church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
