Please join us at National City Christian Church this Friday, June 2, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday concert. This week we are delighted to be welcoming organist Mark Pacoe, who will perform works of American and British composers:
- Fanfare – Alec Wyton
- Prelude and Fugue on Enta Omri– Jason Roberts
- Amazing Grace – Ian Farrington
- Scherzo No. 1 “Whimsical” – Jason Roberts
- Prelude from Suite for Organ– Paul Creston
New York City based musician Mark Pacoe has performed throughout North America, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Australia as recitalist and accompanist. Mr. Pacoe’s recording, ‘Crossroads – Music from St. Malachy’s, The Actors’ Chapel, Times Square, NYC’ was released in 2015 on the ACIS label. In recent years, Mr. Pacoe has collaborated and commissioned noted composers Wang Jie, Texu Kim, Jason Roberts and Austin Philemon to write works for solo organ. Last month he was appointed Associate Director of Music and Organist at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York.
For those who are not able to join us in person, we will be recording the concert and will post it on the church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
