This week we are delighted to be welcoming composer and organist Carson Cooman to perform a program of music by four contemporary composers. Three of the pieces at this week’s concert will be world premiere performances.

- On a Sunny Day in Rochester, World Premiere– Thomas Åberg
- All of Life Becomes a Prayer, World Premiere– Elizabeth Alexander
- Jemez Chapel, World Premiere– Frederick Frahm
Carson Cooman holds degrees in music from Harvard University and Carnegie Mellon University and since 2006 has held the position of Composer in Residence at the Memorial Church, Harvard University. As an organ recitalist, Cooman specializes in the performance of contemporary music. Over 300 new compositions by more than 100 international composers have been written for him.
For those who are not able to join us in person, we will be recording the concert and will post it on the church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
