Please join us at National City Christian Church this Friday, December 15, at 12:15 p.m., for our weekly Music at Midday concert. We are delighted to be welcoming organist and composer Buck McDaniel from New York City to perform three exciting works for organ by young composers, including the world premiere of one of his own compositions:
- The Year of Our Lord from Run Rabbit Run (2001) – Sufjan Stevens, transcribed for organ by James McVinnie
- O Antiphon Preludes (2010) – Nico Muhly
- Toccata – Buck McDaniel (world premiere)
This Friday’s recital is the final performance in the Music at Midday fall season. Concerts will resume on February 2, 2024, with the first of three recitals celebrating Black History Month.
