Please join us at National City Christian Church this Friday, May 14, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday concert. We are delighted to be welcoming organist Carol Feather to perform twentieth-century music that expresses the joy of Easter and Pentecost:
- Fanfares to the Tongues of Fire (1978) – Larry King
- Andante Moderato in C Minor (1905) – Frank Bridge
- Domine Jesu Berceuse (1947) – Jeanne Demessieux
- O Filii Variations – Jeanne Demessieux
- Variations on ‘Frere Jacques’ (1982) – Hans Uwe Hielscher
Carol Feather, a native of North Carolina, graduated from Oberlin Conservatory with a BM in piano performance and MM degree in Organ Performance and Piano Chamber Music and Accompanying Performance from Catholic University. She currently serves as Director of Music and Arts and Organist at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Arlington, Virginia.
As we re-open the building for Music at Midday, we will be following health safety protocols. All audience members must wear masks and remain at least six feet apart. We will also be recording the concert and will post it later in the day on the church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Look for an email message after the live performance with links or just watch our Facebook page for a post.
