Please join us at National City Christian Church this Friday, May 12, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday concert. This week we are delighted to be welcoming organist Grant Wareham to perform what promises to be a memorable program:

  • Etude Héroïque, Op. 38 – Rachel Laurin
  • Romantisch, Op. 142, No. 3 – Sigfrid Karg-Elert
  • Finale from Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64 – Pytor Illych Tchaikovsky, trans. Grant Wareham

Named one of The Diapason magazine’s top “20 under 30” young organists in 2020, Grant Wareham is active as an organist, choral conductor, and teacher. He serves as associate organist and choirmaster at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. Active as an organ recitalist, Wareham’s 2022 schedule included appearances at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York City, Princeton University Chapel, and as a featured artist at the 2022 National Convention of the Organ Historical Society. A champion of new music, his 2022 recital at National City Christian Church included the East Coast Premiere of Karim Al-Zand’s Toccata for Organ, which he commissioned.

For those who are not able to join us in person, we will be recording the concert and will post it on the church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
