Please join us at National City Christian Church this Friday, March 21, at 12:15 p.m., as we welcome pianist Ching-Yi Lin. The program will include:

  • Sonata in E minor, K 98 – Domenico Scarlatti
  • Sonata in A Major, K 24 – Domenico Scarlatti
  • Violin Partita No. 3 in E Major, BWV 1006 – J. S. Bach / Sergei Rachmaninoff
  • Arabesque, Op. 17 – Robert Schumann
  • Piano Sonata in A Major, Op. 101 – Ludwig van Beethoven

Originally from Taiwan, Ching-Yi Lin swiftly established himself after winning the top prize at the Texas State International Piano Competition, Marbella International Piano Competition, and the Wonderlic Piano Competition in Baltimore. He has been featured as a soloist and collaborative pianist at the Grunin Center of the Arts, Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center, Kaufman Music Center, and Will Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall with core members of Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra. He has given and coached masterclasses and lectures at Berkshire High Peaks Festival, Gijon International Piano Festival, Kirov International Music Festival, Ocean County College, and University of Maryland at Baltimore County. He holds both Master and Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Peabody Institute and currently serves as a faculty member at Levine Music and Montgomery College.
