The Reverend Chris Dorsey, president of Higher Education and Leadership Ministries, will return as our pulpit guest on Sunday, January 14, for the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. Rev. Dorsey’s message is titled “Call and Response.” Join us at 8:30 or 11 a.m.
At 2 p.m., all are encouraged to travel to the United Christian Parish in Reston, Virginia, to hear the new General Minister and President Rev. Teresa Hord Owens, who preached at National City Christian Church on November 5, 2017. Each year, the Capital Area Region honors the civil rights leader during the MLK holiday weekend. In 2018, its MLK Jr. Day Tribute & Action will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at United Christian Parish in Reston, Virginia. (11508 North Shore Dr., Reston, VA 20190).
