Please join us at National City Christian Church this Friday, June 12, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday concert. This week we present our annual Pride Recital and are delighted to be welcoming organist Sol Rizzato to perform selected movements from Gustav Holst’s The Planets.
Equally comfortable in the roles of organ technician, organist, and church musician, Chicago native Sol Rizzato (They/He) is known for integrating the science of organbuilding with the art of performance. In June 2026, Sol will begin work at the Ortloff Organ Company in Needham, Massachusetts, where they will serve as a voicer and lead service technician. Sol previously resided in Ohio, where they served as a voicer and lead service technician at the Muller Pipe Organ Company. In addition to their responsibilities as an organbuilder, Sol also served as the Director of Worship and the Arts at Washington Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Elyria, Ohio. Sol holds a Master of Music degree in organ performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music studying under Todd Wilson, as well as the Bachelor of Music (Organ Performance) and Bachelor of Musical Arts (Viola Performance) degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
If you are unable to join us in person, you may view a livestream on our YouTube channel (Friends of National City Christian Church) or on our Facebook page (National City Christian Church). You may also view a recording afterwards at those same sites.
