In the May 2026 board meeting of the National City Christian Church Foundation, the board challenged itself to raise funds to improve one of the many hospitality spaces in the building. In a single weekend, the board was able to fully fund the updating of the third floor lounge.
The third floor lounge is a space that is available to the many non-profit partners that make their home at National City. The staff of our partner non-profits work tirelessly to improve the lives of residents in the DC metro area and across the country through arts, education, advocacy, emergency response and social services. As National City continues to be a hub for supporting justice, advocacy, education, arts as a local and national presence in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we continue to maintain our commitment to capital improvements to our building that reflect good stewardship as well as a spirit of hospitality and care for those who live in and serve our community.
The update to our third floor lounge includes fresh paint and new furnishings that allow the space to be multifunctional for those who utilize it.
We want to extend our gratitude to our Foundation Board members who in this season continue to lead with their commitment to National City, deep expertise, and generosity.
