National City Christian Church and Foundation is excited to be partnering with a variety of national, ecumenical, and denominational organizations to offer a full week of vibrant Pride celebrations from June 1-8 as part of World Pride 2025. World Pride is an international celebration of LGBTQ+ identity, culture, and resilience that takes place every other year in a different host city. In 2025, it’s coming to Washington, DC to mark the 50th anniversary of Pride celebrations in the nation’s capital.
As part of the congregation’s long standing commitment to the welcome and inclusion of all people, as well as the Foundation’s enduring commitment to being a national presence for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the nation’s capital, National City will host a range of opportunities to participate in World Pride this year in collaboration with partner organizations. These events reflect the intersection of faith, justice, and joy. All are welcome to all events. You do not have to belong to the LGBTQIA+ community to participate in our celebrations.
We invite members of National City Christian Church, supporters and friends of the National City Christian Church Foundation, members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and United Church of Christ, and visitors to the DC area for World Pride, to explore our schedule and see what opportunities fit to create a robust and meaningful Pride experience.
