Please join us this Friday, April 26, at 12:15 p.m., when Colin MacKnightwill perform a program of colorful organ music at our free weekly Music at Midday recital.

Colin MacKnight is a C.V Starr Doctoral Fellow at The Juilliard School, where he alsocompleted his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Colin also serves as Associate Organist and Choirmaster at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City, Long Island. A frequent competition prizewinner, Colin’s first prizes and scholarships include the 2016 Albert Schweitzer Organ Competition, 2016 Arthur Poister Scholarship Competition, and the NYC and Northeast Regional American Guild of Organists competitions.

This Friday’s program includes two of Colin’s own organ transcriptions:

  • Overture to Manfred, Op. 115 – Robert Schumann, arr. West/MacKnight
  • Arabesque no. 1 – Longwood Gardens – Samuel Barber
  • Les préludes – Franz Liszt, arr. Deutsch/MacKnight
