Please join us this for our free Music at Midday concert this Friday, April 20, at 12:15 p,.m., when organist David Houston will present a program entitled, “Langlais All Day.” David’s program includes the following works of Jean Langlais (1907-1991):

  • Suite Brève (Grand Jeux; Cantilène; Plainte; Dialogue sur les Mixtures) – 1947
  • Pasticcio from Organ Book – 1957
  • 24 Pièces pour harmonium ou orgue: 1. Prélude modal – 1934
  • Trois Pararases Grégoriennes (Mors et Resurrectio; Hymne d’Action de grâce “Te Deum”) – 1933-1934

A native of West Virginia, David Houston is currently the Organist and Choir Master at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in College Park, Maryland. In 2015 he completed a master’s degree in organ performance at the Haute Ecole de Musique and Conservatory of Lausanne, Switzerland. As a student of Jean-Christophe Geiser, David focused on the music of Maurice Duruflé.
