Franck’s Trois pieces pour Grand Orgue were composed for the inauguration of a new Cavaillé-Coll instrument at the Trocadéro during the exhibition of 1878 in Paris. The organs of National City, with their rich variety of musical colors, are well suited to the performance of these masterworks.
