Don’t miss this week’s exciting Music at Midday concert on Friday, March 9, at 12:15 p.m. We are delighted to welcome back organist Joby Bell, who teaches organ and church music studies in the Hayes School of Music, Appalachian State University, Boone, North Carolina. He holds degrees from Appalachian State University and from Rice University. His teachers were H. Max Smith and Clyde Holloway. In 2000 he garnered Second Prize and the Audience Prize in the American Guild of Organists National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance. He is currently recording the complete organ works of Charles-Marie Widor, to be released on the Centaur label.
