Please join us at National City Christian Church on Friday, October 3, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday concert. We are delighted to be welcoming organist Alain Truche, who will perform an exciting program of three “Chorals” for organ:
- Choral from Quatre Pièces – Joseph Jongen
- Choral from Organ Sonata in C minor – Percy Whitlock
- Choral No. 3 in A minor – César Franck
Alain Truche currently serves as the Director of Music at Grace Episcopal Church in Alexandria, Virginia. As a distinguished scholar, Dr. Truche earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Central Michigan University, a Master of Music degree from Indiana University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Beyond his dedication to church ministry, Dr. Truche is recognized as an accomplished recitalist. His performances have graced renowned venues across Asia, Europe, and the United States, including the prestigious Eglise Saint-Paul, Strasbourg, and the Abbaye in Marmoutier, France, where he showcased his talent on the illustrious 18th-century Silbermann organ. Notably, Dr. Truche has been a featured artist at esteemed events such as the Northeast Pennsylvania Bach Festival hosted by the Arcadia Chorale. His musical prowess has taken him to Taiwan, where he was invited to perform at Aletheia University and the National Concert Hall in Taipei. Dr. Truche was a finalist at the Arthur Poister Organcompetition held in Syracuse, New York, in 2007.
