Please join us at National City Christian Church next Friday, October 30, at 12:15 p.m., for a concert by organist David Brock, who is traveling from his home in Nevada to perform here in his native Washington:

  • Prelude in G minor, BuxWV 149 – Dietrich Buxtehude
  • Nun bitten wir den Heiligen Geist, BuxWV 208 – Dietrich Buxtehude
  • Chorale No. 1 in E Major – César Franck

David Brock is Organist at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Reno, Nevada. David Brock is also the Organist and Continuo artist with TOCCATA, the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, and has served in that role since the orchestra’s founding in 2005. David has also made guest appearances with the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra in Virginia, in performances of the Saint-Saens Organ Symphony, and the Mozart Requiem. TOCCATA continues during the pandemic with outdoor chamber music as weather permits. David maintains an active organ recital schedule throughout the United States. Recent appearances have included Washington National Cathedral, Princeton University Chapel, St. Thomas Church New York City, and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Los Angeles.

This concert is part of the church’s free weekly Music at Midday concert series. We will be opening the building for those who wish to attend the concert in person. We will follow local guidelines on the number of people allowed into the building and will have positions roped off where audience members may sit. Masks will be required to enter the building and will be available for those who need them. Also, we will not be providing printed programs but instead have posted a full program which you may download to view on your mobile device or print for your own use. To download the program, click here.

We will also be recording the concert and will post it later in the day on the church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Look for an email message on Friday afternoon with links or just watch our Facebook page for a post.
